Join Our Southwest Water Team as an Operative!

Are you ready to make a difference in your community? We’re looking for a dedicated Operative to join our Southwest Water team based in Bodmin. This is your chance to be part of a vital mission—delivering clean, high-quality drinking water to the beautiful regions of Devon and Cornwall!

Location & Hours

  • Location: Bodmin
  • Hours: 45 hours per week

Your Responsibilities

As an Operative, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Southwest Water team with essential water infrastructure projects. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Installing water mains and services, working with various pipe sizes and materials.
  • Adhering to water quality standards and hygiene processes to ensure safe drinking water.
  • Completing documentation using a tablet to maintain accurate records for each job.
  • Meeting targets within set timescales while upholding quality standards.
  • Taking responsibility for personal and site safety, using vehicles, plant, and materials correctly.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You hold a Full driving licence.
  • You have (or are willing to obtain) a CSCS Card and EUSR Water Hygiene training.
  • You thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • You are committed to following safety procedures and fostering an inclusive workplace.
  • You can commute to our Bodmin depot independently.
