My client is looking for an Assistant General Manager who gets a thrill out of working in a vibrant, non-stop restaurant and who can combine obvious enjoyment in their role with the smooth delivery of excellent and friendly, confident and competent service to our customers.
This is a new concept opening its doors soon and they are looking for a pro-active, enthusiastic and experienced Assistant General Manager.
The role will develop into General Manager within months as few more sites will open - so you have room for progression there!

  • Previous restaurant/café management experience at least 3 years in a similar role

Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing day to day operation of this brand-new operation including floor plan layout, table settings, general look and feel of the restaurant and deli.
    • Assisting the General Manager on all restaurant matters and taking full responsibility of running the site in absence of the General Manager
    • Ensuring high quality of food and drink is maintained
    • Managing staff throughout their shift and providing them with feedback
    • Hiring, training, motivating, appraising, supervising and conducting disciplinary procedures for all front of house staff
    • Building and maintaining good rapport with customers
    • Ensuring high standard of service at all times
    • Managing weekly rota and staff timesheets
    • Liaising with the kitchen
    • Advising customers on menu choices
    • Maximizing sales
      • Responding to customer feedback with empathy and generosity
      • Maintaining budget and employee records, preparing payroll
      • Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
      • Ensuring stock levels always maintained
      • Helping in any area of the brand when circumstances dictate
