JOB TITLE: Field Sales Manager
SALARY & BENEFITS: £25-30K Basic depending on experience plus an excellent commission scheme, company car, laptop, mobile phone and an excellent benefits package
WORKING HOURS: Full Time- Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week
Our client is the largest supplier of janitorial and cleaning products in the UK. They are a FTSE 100 company which successfully operates in 26 countries throughout the world.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for proactive, dynamic and self-motivated individual to join a successful Field Sales team.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong business relationships with national and local customers in Cardiff. Working in line with company goals you will develop strategies to develop profitable growth in volume and value and build personal relationships with various customers and decision makers. (both Procurement and Health and Safety specialists)
Key Responsibilities to include:-
Manage a portfolio of customers, in conjunction with your desk sales buddy.
Constantly seek new opportunities to expand the portfolio and increase margin.
Prospecting new customers and regaining lost business
Range extensions, working with suppliers and own brand offering
Monitor sales performance and activity levels and produce monthly report detailing key result areas.
Maintain appropriate records on clients and sales activities.
Produce reports as required to the management team for review, and complete any customer reporting that may be required within required timescales.
Maintain and grow existing portfolio by regular interaction with customers to achieve agreed financial targets (Sales and Margin)
Development of effective journey planning, providing quotes and ensuring that enquiries and issues are followed up in a timely manner.
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will be conscientious, organised, disciplined and well presented. You will need to be driven and hard-working to excel within this role with excellent one-to-one skills and an ability to talk to people from all backgrounds.
Your evidence of new business development will be essential, as will your experience and proven track record in sales preferably selling in to the Construction/Manufacturing Industry however industry experience is not essential.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the role:-
Previous experience within a Field Sales role
UK Driving licence
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Enthusiastic and highly driven individual
New business development evidence
Ability to work under pressure and exceed targets
