Job summary

Required to work in the Leeds Teaching Hospital's Resourcing department which is responsible for the recruitment of all staff to the Trust. The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is the largest teaching hospital in the UK and employs over 20,000 people. LTHT Resourcing supports the Trust with circa 3,500 vacancies each year for both internal and external applicants making this an exciting opportunity, especially for those passionate about a career within the NHS. This particular role is within the Medical Staffing team responsible for recruiting all levels of Medics and Dentists to the Trust.

Main duties of the job

Full time: 37.5 hours per week. Must be able to cover the core hours of 09:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday.

You will support the delivery of a high standard of service to candidates, managers and staff within the Trust. You will maintain our strong standards of clerical support to the Medical Staffing team helping in the recruitment of our doctors and dentists.

You must have excellent literacy and numeracy skills and have a great working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel. The role requires outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills and you must be able to work as part of a team and demonstrate a clear commitment to providing a high standard of customer service.

To support the Medical Staffing function in the provision of a high level of service to candidates, managers and staff within the Trust, under the guidance of the Resourcing Officers and the Medical Staffing Team Leader. You will process pre employment documentation, speak to visitors to the department and provide clerical support to the Medical Staffing team.

Essential

The post holder will be able to demonstrate excellent literacy and numeracy skills and have a great working knowledge of Microsoft Office. He/She should be an effective communicator.

Desirable

Previous clerical experience and/or reception/customer service experience.

Additional Requirements

Willing to undergo job training as required on ESR, (Electronic Staff Records), and a variety of different web based IT systems.

Able to work as part of a team or independently as required

Committed to working with a wide variety of people

Able to work calmly under pressure

Positive approach to work

Able to work on own initiative, within agreed departmental guidelines

Professional, customer focused attitude
