SENIOR SITE ENGINEER
Are you interested in Geotechnical ground investigation for construction? This could be your opportunity to excel as a Senior Site Engineer / Senior Geologist, as well as playing a vital role in helping our business succeed.
As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Senior Site Engineer / Senior Geologist to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are looking for reliable, flexible and driven Senior Site Engineer join our Geotechnical team. As a member of Geotechnical, you will be exposed to a variety of unique projects throughout the country. It is key that you have the balance to be proactive and independent, while simultaneously being a strong team player. Good management skills, and a strong understanding with experience in the industry are vital in order to succeed in this role.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
- Plan and manage projects and business operations within their scope of responsibility
- Day to day responsibility for planning, supervision and programming of Ground Investigation projects at locations throughout the United Kingdom
- Prepare Health & Safety documentation prior to and during the site works phase, as well as assisting with the managing the Health & Safety of operatives and promoting a safe working environment
- Act as a site gent for medium to large scale ground investigation projects both on land and overwater
- Act as logging supervisor for medium to large scale ground investigation projects both on land and overwater
- Performing in-situ testing and sampling in accordance with the specification and current technical standards
- Managing and collating site data using company software systems
- Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals, represent the company at tender visits and assist with the scoping of contracts where required
