Company Description
Operated by Digital Advantage, DISC is the Digital Independent Specialist College, a unique environment designed to help young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) move towards employment in the creative and digital economy. Based in the city centre of Manchester, DISC is a creative and digital studio providing supported work-based learning to help talented young people fulfil their potential and dreams.
DISC is for young people with SEND aged 16-24 who love creative and digital work and who would thrive in a professional, work-based learning environment, who love learning by doing and making and who want to develop their core skills to help them into the workplace. We are a professional and agile organisation seeking committed staff members who share our goal to improve the life chances of young people with SEND.
We are seeking a full time Foundation Lead Tutor to join our dedicated team working under the direction of the Head of College to deliver and maintain high-quality teaching, learning and care for students in DISC's Foundation 1 cohort, ensuring learners with SEND achieve the outcomes set out in their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting young people to achieve their goals, professional and open to developing within an innovative setting. They will be agile and able to adapt their working style to fit a small and fast paced organisation, embrace new ideas and share theirs for the overall progress of our young people. Professional/lived experience of people with SEND and strong digital skills are a bonus, but they are not a pre-requisite. We are open to applicants from all backgrounds and experiences.
This role is based at DISC Manchester, Holyoake House, Hanover Street, Manchester, M4 4AH.

This includes background checks, references, and adherence to our safeguarding policies.
