As the main point of contact for your team, you will ensure that operational standards are met and compliance is maintained across the department.
In this hands-on role, you will report directly to the Manager and play a crucial part in fulfilling daily operational plans. Your mission? To ensure that tasks and objectives are executed seamlessly, allowing us to manage fluctuating guest demands while delivering an exceptional experience.
Your primary focus will be on accommodation during our busy intake days on Monday and Friday, with flexibility to support other departments throughout the week. This role is all about ensuring our guests receive an unforgettable experience, and you will be instrumental in making that happen!
As a Supervisor Plus, you will:
- Be the operational leader, guiding your team to effectively complete key tasks and objectives.
- Coach your team to achieve targets, such as retail upselling and promotions.
- Oversee CAFF audits in accommodation and other departmental audits.
- Drive add-on sales and ensure all stock is available for guests.
- Monitor the quality of guest experiences in line with brand guidelines.
- Capture and act on guest feedback to enhance satisfaction.
- Champion Butlin’s Values and Leadership Behaviours.
- Foster strong communication within your area, ensuring plans are executed effectively.
- Build and maintain relationships across the resort and with central support teams.
- Support team members throughout their employment journey, from onboarding to performance management.
Role Details
Supervisor Plus – Buffets
As part of our leadership team, you will also ensure operational excellence within our Buffets venues. Here are your core focus areas:
1. Food Safety Champion
- Lead by example in maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Ensure team members follow correct procedures, including temperature checks and allergen management.
- Support compliance audits and address any issues promptly.
- Promote a culture where food safety is everyone's responsibility.
2. Creating a Warm, Welcoming Dining Experience
- Greet guests with a friendly, personalized welcome that reflects the Butlin’s brand.
- Maintain a comfortable, family-friendly environment.
- Resolve guest queries with empathy and professionalism.
- Model exceptional service standards for your team.
3. Bay Replenishment & Food Quality
- Oversee timely replenishment of food bays to maintain availability.
- Collaborate with kitchen teams to ensure quality standards are met.
- Anticipate busy periods and adjust staffing accordingly.
- Ensure the buffet is always appealing and well-presented.
4. Coaching & Developing the Team
- Provide on-shift coaching to build team confidence and capability.
- Offer constructive feedback focused on performance and behavior.
- Support training for new starters on buffet standards and guest interactions.
- Foster a positive team culture where everyone feels valued.

About You
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach and support your team.
- Strong attention to detail for audit and observation activities.
- Experience in guest-facing roles, handling queries and complaints.
- Proven ability to generate new opportunities through sales and promotions.
- Experience working with multi-skilled teams to meet guest demands.
- Demonstrable success in leading teams, managing performance, and delivering training.
- Exceptional communication skills at all levels.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements.
