The Role

As an SEN Class Teacher, you will teach a small bespoke class of up to 6 pupils, supported by a Teaching Assistant. Your responsibilities will include planning, preparing, and presenting lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities.

You will be expected to:

  • Motivate pupils through enthusiastic and imaginative presentations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to ensure a high standard of education.
  • Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing regular feedback to pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to promote engagement and learning.
  • Create and maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment for all pupils.
  • Adhere to all school policies and procedures in line with our values.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
  • Successful experience in SEN teaching.
  • A solid understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to the success of every pupil.

The successful candidate will need to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by Polaris Community.
