Compensation

Salary:
- Unqualified: Base salary of £27,866.34, earning up to £33,447.67 with sleep-in shifts
- Qualified: Base salary of £29,181.57, earning up to £34,762.90 with sleep-in shifts

Your Role

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in our children's residential homes. Your mission? To support young people facing challenges with flexibility, resilience, and a commitment to high-quality care. You’ll help them achieve positive outcomes and thrive in a nurturing environment.

This is a permanent position with fantastic career prospects and comprehensive training within a growing organization. You’ll work an average of 38 hours per week on a 2 days on/4 days off shift pattern, including 2 sleep-ins. Plus, enjoy generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime, and a performance-related bonus!

Essential Skills

  • Full manual driving licence
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining clear, organized records
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive team player attitude
  • Competence in completing daily records to statutory and policy standards
  • Empathetic, patient, and supportive nature
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to engage, motivate, and encourage young people

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with young people
  • Level 3 Children & Young People qualification, or a willingness to work towards it (fully funded)
