Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £38,955.18 per annum (includes sleep-in shifts)
Specific Hours: 38 hours per week
Responsible for: Team Leaders, Residential Support Workers

Your Role & Responsibilities
In this dynamic position, you will:
- Oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring the safety and well-being of young people
- Lead, supervise, and inspire the staff team, stepping in for the Home Manager as needed
- Create a supportive and nurturing environment that prioritizes young people's needs and voices
- Collaborate with professionals and families to support care plans and achieve positive outcomes
- Ensure compliance with policies, legislation, and safety standards
- Facilitate staff development and training while participating in the on-call rota
- Manage petty cash and assist with budget responsibilities
- Take annual leave at different times than the Home Manager
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a good standard of education with strong writing, IT, and organizational skills
- Holds (or is working towards) a Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People, and is willing to start the Level 5 Diploma within 6 months
- Has 2+ years of experience working directly with young people, including those with challenging behavior
- Understands current childcare legislation, regulations, and quality standards
- Has experience collaborating with external agencies and families
- Can lead and motivate a team, serving as a positive role model
- Is empathetic, child-centered, and committed to achieving the best outcomes
- Holds a full, clean UK manual driving license
- Is willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check
