Position Type: Full Time/Permanent - Casual

Salary: £12.70 - £14.50 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)

Location: Bournemouth

Hours: Shift pattern on rotation - ad hoc cover

We are on the lookout for passionate Residential Support Workers to join our team in Bournemouth on a casual basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work flexibly, covering shifts as needed, with no contractual obligations. You will be part of a collaborative team that tailors care packages to meet the unique needs of each young person.

At Budwood, we value each team member as an individual. All staff receive training in 'Developmental Trauma' and therapeutic parenting, equipping you with the skills to provide the best support possible.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support children and young people, understanding the challenges they face in care.
  • Be flexible with your availability to cover shifts, including sickness and annual leave.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of our young people.
  • Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with the children.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team, accepting guidance and direction.
  • Encourage the development of individual interests and skills of our young people.
  • Hold or be willing to work towards a relevant qualification (e.g., Residential Childcare Diploma, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care).
  • Possess a full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Show a willingness to learn and grow in your role.
  • Be prepared to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us).
  • Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is a plus.
