Competitive Salary:
- Unqualified: Base salary of £30,277.23, with potential earnings up to £34,381.23 (including sleep-ins).
- Qualified: Base salary of £31,867.18, with potential earnings up to £35,971.18 (based on completion of a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent).
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Specific Hours: 08:00 - 20:00 (12-hour shifts)
- Location: Haverhill, Suffolk
- Comprehensive Induction: Receive mandatory training to support your development and progression.

Fixed Shift Rota:
- Week 1: Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun (48 hours)
- Week 2: Weds, Thurs, Fri (36 hours)
- Guaranteed Minimum Hours: Average of 168 hours per month.
- Waking Night Contracts: Available for those interested.
- Annual Leave: 236 hours per year (including bank holidays), increasing by 12 hours each year for 3 years (up to 272 hours).
- Pension Scheme: Available after the qualifying period.
- Fully Funded Qualifications: We support your journey to gain required qualifications.
Your Role:
As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for our young people. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating a supportive atmosphere that fosters development.
- Providing emotional and social support to help young people build positive relationships.
- Promoting confidence, self-esteem, and independence.
- Maintaining accurate records, including daily updates and safeguarding information.
- Assessing individual needs and contributing to care plans.
- Collaborating with managers, colleagues, and external professionals.
- Supporting daily living needs and assisting with household tasks.
What We’re Looking For:
- A positive and proactive approach to engaging with young people.
- Self-motivated and sensitive, with the ability to listen and empathize.
- Experience in the care sector or residential care is a plus.
- A commitment to undertaking a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare.
- Willingness to work some bank holidays.
