About Our School
With class sizes capped at just 6 pupils, each classroom is supported by a qualified teacher and up to 2 teaching assistants. We cater to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as a variety of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, and mild to moderate learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher to make a real impact while enhancing your own professional skills in a rewarding environment.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Support the class team in facilitating learning and promoting positive behaviors.
- Monitor pupil progress and collaborate with staff to meet individual needs.
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities and trips.
- Build positive relationships to support learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree-level education
- Experience teaching GCSE Science at the secondary level
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH
- Strong behavior management skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
