Founded in 1987 by a group of passionate foster parents, we are proud to be the UK's first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have always placed the child at the heart of our mission, providing an Integrated Services Programme that surrounds them with a comprehensive range of support services. Our team includes social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists, all working collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes for children and foster families.
Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload.
- Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments and decision-making processes.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a qualified and experienced Supervising Social Worker who is:
- Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents.
- Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.
- Holds a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to children's services.
- Holds a full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position that requires a commitment to maintaining high standards and providing training to both prospective and current foster parents. You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
