Your Role and Responsibilities
As a SEN Class Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum, while addressing the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
- Supporting the class team in creating learning opportunities and fostering positive behaviors.
- Monitoring and reporting on pupils' progress, collaborating with other staff to ensure their needs are met.
- Supervising pupils during non-classroom times, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
- Building positive relationships with pupils to drive engagement and positive learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have a strong educational background at degree level.
- Demonstrate previous successful teaching experience.
- Possess experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
- Be skilled in behavior management techniques.
- Show commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
- Be prepared to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work.
