Your Role and Responsibilities

As our Registered Manager, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, safe, and nurturing care for children aged 9-17 with complex emotional and behavioral needs.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
  • Lead and mentor staff, fostering a child-centered approach focused on achieving the best outcomes.
  • Maintain robust safeguarding systems and effective multi-agency collaboration.
  • Organize work patterns and deliver care-focused training to your team.

What We’re Looking For

We seek a qualified and experienced leader who can demonstrate:

  • A Leadership and Management qualification (or willingness to work towards one) and NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People.
  • Strong knowledge of childcare and safeguarding, including relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Experience in managing staff teams with excellent communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for children's homes and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for young people.

Working Conditions

This is a 40-hour per week role, where you will manage your own rota and participate in the on-call rota. Your appointment is subject to Ofsted approval.

  • Competitive base salary of £52,000, with potential earnings up to £58,600 through bonuses.
  • 32 days of annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing by 1 day per year for the first three years.
  • Workplace pension (post-probation) and a mobile phone provided.
  • Performance bonuses: £3,000 for an Outstanding judgement and £1,500 for a Good judgement.
  • Full occupancy bonus of £300 per month.
  • Company car or £3,000 annual travel allowance and local parking permit.
  • 3-month notice period (except in disciplinary cases).
