About Us
Founded in 1987 by a group of committed foster parents, we proudly hold the title of the UK's first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have always placed the child at the heart of our mission. Our Integrated Services Programme (ISP) surrounds children and foster parents with a comprehensive range of support services, including social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists. Together, we create a nurturing environment that promotes a therapeutic approach to fostering.
Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct support to foster parents within a manageable caseload.
- Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a qualified and experienced Supervising Social Worker who is:
- Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents and their invaluable skills.
- Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Capable of producing excellent reports and meeting strict deadlines.
- Holds a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation in children's services.
- Holds a full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position that requires dedication and a proactive approach. You will be expected to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
