Salary:

  • Unqualified: Base salary of £27,866.34, earning up to £33,447.67 with sleep-in shifts
  • Qualified: Base salary of £29,181.57, earning up to £34,762.90 with sleep-in shifts

Your Purpose in This Role

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in our children's residential homes. Your mission will be to support young people facing challenging behaviors, requiring flexibility, resilience, honesty, and strong organizational skills. You will be committed to delivering high-quality care that empowers each young person to achieve positive outcomes.

This is a permanent position with fantastic career prospects and comprehensive training within a thriving organization. You will work an average of 38 hours per week on a 2 days on/4 days off shift pattern, which includes 2 sleep-ins. Plus, enjoy generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime, and a performance-related bonus!

Essential Skills We’re Looking For

  • Full manual driving licence
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining clear, organized records
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive team player attitude
  • Capability to complete daily records to statutory and policy standards
  • Empathetic, patient, and supportive nature
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to engage, motivate, and encourage young people

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with young people
  • Level 3 Children & Young People qualification, or a willingness to work towards it (fully funded)
