Position: Casual Residential Support Worker

Salary: £12.79 - £14.50 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)

Location: Poole

Hours: Flexible shift patterns on rotation, covering as needed

We are on the lookout for passionate Residential Support Workers to join our team in Poole on a casual basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work flexibly, allowing you to choose hours that fit your schedule without any contractual obligations. You will be part of a collaborative team that tailors care packages to meet the unique needs of each individual.

At Budwood, we prioritize your growth and understanding. All staff receive training in 'Developmental Trauma' and therapeutic parenting, equipping you to provide the best support possible to our young people.

Main Duties and Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people, with an understanding of the challenges they face in care.
  • Flexibility to cover shifts for sickness, annual leave, and sleep-in shifts as needed.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our young people.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships.
  • Team player who is open to direction and guidance.
  • Encouraging the development of individual interests in our young people.
  • Hold or be willing to work towards a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow.
  • Ability to work well within a small team.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us).
  • Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is a plus.
