Your Role at a Glance
As a Mobile Vehicle Technician, you’ll enjoy:
- Competitive Base Salary: Start with a base salary of £40,178, with potential on-target earnings of up to £52,000.
- Guaranteed Overtime: Choose to work extra days at £30 per hour after your first month, giving you the flexibility to boost your earnings.
- Structured Work Schedule: Enjoy a predictable workday with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and only 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Your Daily Experience
Your day begins with a clear digital schedule, where each job is pre-booked and waiting for you. You’ll be responsible for:
- Routine servicing
- Advanced diagnostics using cutting-edge mobile equipment
- In-depth repairs
- Providing member advice based on your inspections
- Conducting vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards
From day one, you’ll have everything you need: a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, full tool set, and advanced diagnostics. Your technical skills will shine as you help keep our members moving safely and confidently.
What You’ll Need
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
