Your Role in the SMR Division
In this role, you’ll be part of the Southampton cluster, covering areas like Southampton, Eastleigh, and Winchester. Forget emergency callouts and unpredictable shifts; you’ll work through a scheduled list of jobs, equipped with everything you need to deliver quality service.
What to Expect
Your day will kick off with a clear digital schedule, where each job is pre-booked and waiting for you. You’ll be responsible for:
- Routine servicing
- Advanced diagnostics
- In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
- Providing member advice and recommendations
- Conducting vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards
With no reactive breakdowns, you’ll have the time and tools to do the job right!

What You’ll Need
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
