Our client schoolis looking for a Year 1 teacher based in the heart of Westminster! This is an opportunity to work within an amazing primary school in West London. Year 1 Teacher responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to Year 1 students, using creativity and innovation to keep the students engaged.

Assess and evaluate student progress, providing formal and informal feedback to students and parents.

Collaborate with colleagues to plan, prepare and participate in school events, including extracurricular activities.

Establish and maintain open and positive communication with students, parents, and colleagues.

Utilise a student-centered approach to teaching, encouraging independent thinking, and problem-solving.

Incorporate inclusive practices into teaching approaches, recognising the diverse needs of students.

Ensure accurate record-keeping, including attendance records and student data, in line with the school's policies.

Year 1 Teacher requirements:

QTS, PGCE and strong academic record

Experience teaching key stage 1 students.

Knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Highly organised and able to manage competing demands effectively.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Passionate about teaching and creating a positive learning environment.

Salary

The salary for this Year 1 position will be paid to scale on a temporary to permanent contract to scale MPS/UPS.
