Position: Senior/Supervising Social Worker

Salary: Up to £40,081.10 per annum (dependent upon experience)

Where You’ll Work:

Our office is based in Bromsgrove, and we offer a flexible hybrid working model. You’ll support our Foster Parents across Birmingham, Dudley, Walsall, Wolverhampton, and surrounding areas, with occasional travel to the regional head office.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Supporting foster parents to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
  • Monitoring the suitability and competence of foster parents to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Providing regular supervision to foster parents in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
  • Collaborating with the child's network to identify needs and resources.
  • Ensuring compliance with all key documentation for children and foster parents.
  • Participating in meetings and providing reports for Commissioning Teams.
  • Promoting the participation of children/young people in agency development.
  • Participating in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
  • Conducting occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.

What You’ll Need:

  • A Social Work qualification.
  • Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (including occasional nights away).
  • Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations.
  • A full driving licence.
