Contracted to our Wilmslow, London, Edinburgh,Cardiffor Belfast office, we will berelocatingto Manchester city centre from 28 September 2026. Once the move takes place your contracted office will be Circle Square, Manchester. Through hybrid working we offer flexible home and office-based working opportunities and there will be times when you will be expected to attend the office to collaborate with colleagues or travel due to business need.

Job summary
Anexciting opportunity for an experienced Product Manager to join our DDaT functionhas arisen. You willbe responsible forleadingthe development of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, shaping how we deliver scalabledigital services.
You will haveproven experience delivering end-to-end Dynamics 365 implementationsas well as configurationexpertise.You'llwork closely withthe wider DDaT team,setting the product direction alongside a senior implementation partner, and using your delivery background to assess and refine solutions,challengingrecommendationsbefore they reach the backlog.
You'llhaveexpertiseacross theDynamics 365 ecosystem, understanding the capabilities and limits of Dataverse, Power Automate, and Copilot.
Working within multidisciplinary teams,you'llown the product roadmap,translating user needs and business priorities into impactful solutions.You'llcollaborate withstakeholders at all levels, influencing decisions and championing best practice to deliver modernand accessibleservices.

The roleis responsible forsolution architecture designrelating to theirproduct(s), working to the ICO's architectural principles and in conjunction with the DDaT architecture directorate
The role collaboratesandconsultwith stakeholders toensureProductdecisions are aligned withboththeProduct andDDaT'sstrategies
The rolemanagestheProduct roadmapandisresponsible foreffective management of theProduct backlog andthemeansto deliver it
Where applicable, the role manages3rdparty support or development partners
The role guidesthe organisation to makeappropriateProductdecisions by recommending reuse,sustainabilityand scalability, to achieve value for money and reduce risk
Key responsibilities:
Managesthe operational process of runningaproduct.
Usesa range ofProduct management principles and approachestocapture user needs and translate them into deliverables, workingwith a range of specialists in multidisciplinaryteams
Defines theminimumviableproduct (MVP) and writes user stories and acceptance criteria based on user needs and how they translate into deliverables
Workswithgiven constraints (such as technology, policy, regulatory,financialand legal constraints)andensurescompliance with constraints by adaptingtheProduct where needed.
Ensuresconformity to best practice and standards including Technology code of practiceand the GDS design standards
Understandsthe ICO'susersand/or customers,identifywho and what their needs areandtranslate user storiesbyproposingdesign approaches,to meet the needsof theProduct.
Ensuresaccessibilityguidelines, standards,lawsand regulations areactivelyexploredandadhered to,to ensureneworexistingProductscan be used by everyone
Accountable for one or more products and their associated sub parts to be agreed by management

Experience of understanding business strategy and translating that into capability and technology strategy at theProductlevel.
Experience managing the relationship with 3rdparty support or development partners

Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity, creative problem solving and developing innovative solutions.
Understanding of wider DDaT profession and practices and their impact on Product ownership, including IT delivery methodologies such as Agile.
Knowledge of the public sector and regulatory environment, or clear appreciation of specifics and complexities and how they would influence the role.
