Location: Isle of Dogs
Hours: 40 hours per week

Your Role

Become a vital part of our Kier Places team as we embark on an exciting Fire Remediation project. This position is part of our 15-year partnership with L&Q, focusing on external wall remediation works across various blocks as part of the Major Works Improvement Programme. You’ll play a key role in managing commercial resources and ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes for residents.

What Will You Be Responsible For?

As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be an integral member of the Commercial team, working to maximize planned gross margin and ensure strong financial performance. Your daily tasks will include:

• Managing commercial resources to achieve budgeted profitability on projects
• Appointing subcontractors and placing orders for materials and plant within delegated authorities
• Measuring and valuing work to support invoicing customers and paying suppliers
• Proposing and negotiating contract variations with customers and suppliers
• Building strong relationships with clients, contractors, and the supply chain to support successful project delivery

What Are We Looking For?

This role is perfect for you if:

• You possess clear communication skills and experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and the supply chain
• You have experience in a similar role, ideally with exposure to Building Safety Regulation works
• You’re organized, can prioritize effectively, and thrive under deadlines
• You hold relevant qualifications such as a Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying
• You’re confident using IT packages, including Microsoft Office and bespoke software systems
