As we expand to accommodate growing pupil numbers in our Lower School (ages 7-13), we maintain a supportive environment with class sizes capped at 6 pupils, each guided by a qualified teacher and up to 2 teaching assistants.
We cater to pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as various diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and more. This is your chance to make a real impact in a rewarding sector while enhancing your own teaching skills!
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Secondary Science GCSE Class Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Support the class team in facilitating learning and promoting positive behaviors.
- Monitor pupil progress and collaborate with staff to meet individual needs.
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities and trips.
- Build positive relationships to enhance learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree-level education.
- Experience teaching GCSE Science at the secondary level.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs.
- Strong behavior management skills.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
- A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
