Your Role

We are on the lookout for a qualified and experienced Supervising Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to making a difference. In this role, you will:

  • Provide direct support to foster parents, ensuring a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions, enabling foster parents to excel while adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive participation in safeguarding and child protection efforts.

What You Bring

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in children and families social work.
  • A solid understanding of relevant legislation and publications related to children's services.
  • A full driving licence and unrestricted access to your own car.

Working Conditions

This is a demanding yet rewarding position that combines quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents. You will need to be an excellent report writer and adept at meeting strict deadlines.

As part of our commitment to safeguarding, the successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
