Bridgwater, Somerset

Contract:

Permanent, Full-time

Salary:

£27,976 to £29,000 depending on experience + call out + overtime

Your Responsibilities:

As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of highway services across the Somerset network. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Promoting customer care by working closely with team members and ensuring courteous interactions with clients and network users.
  • Responding to highway defects within designated timescales and updating relevant parties using tablet devices.
  • Utilizing tablet applications for incident management and emergency repairs, while maintaining accurate records of work performed.
  • Conducting daily defect reports on vehicles and ensuring they are cleaned and maintained in good order.

  • Hold a full driving licence (LGV training will be provided once you meet necessary business targets).
  • Can work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicating any faults or issues.
