About the Role
Join our Kier Places team and be part of an exciting Fire Remediation project as part of our 15-year partnership with L&Q. You will focus on external wall remediation works across various blocks, contributing to the Major Works Improvement Programme. Your expertise will be vital in managing commercial resources and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality outcomes for residents.
Your Responsibilities
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Manage commercial resources to achieve budgeted profitability on projects.
- Appoint subcontractors and place orders for materials and plant within delegated authorities.
- Measure and value work to support invoicing customers and paying suppliers.
- Propose and negotiate contract variations with customers and suppliers.
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and the supply chain to support successful project delivery.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
- You possess clear communication skills and have experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and the supply chain.
- You bring relevant experience in a similar role, ideally with exposure to Building Safety Regulation works.
- You are organized, can prioritize effectively, and thrive under deadlines.
- You hold relevant qualifications such as a Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying.
- You are confident using IT packages, including Microsoft Office and bespoke software systems.
