About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker in Southampton, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team, delivering personalized care packages tailored to the unique needs of each child and young adult. Your role will involve:
- Working a 3-week rolling rota with 7 × 24-hour shifts (09:00-09:30 the following day), including sleep-ins, with 1 weekend off every 3 weeks.
- Promoting, safeguarding, and protecting the welfare of our young people.
- Building and maintaining positive, trusting relationships with the children.
- Encouraging the development of individual interests and skills.
- Collaborating effectively within a supportive team environment.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Experience working with children and young people, along with an understanding of the challenges they face.
- A willingness to work towards a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel purposes.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- A positive attitude and a desire to learn and grow.
- Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is a plus.
