About Us

Founded in 1987 by a group of passionate foster parents, ISP is proud to be the UK's first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have built a strong foundation of support for looked-after children, ensuring they receive the specialized care they need. Our Integrated Services Programme surrounds children and foster parents with a network of professionals, including social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists, all dedicated to fostering a therapeutic approach to care.

Your Role

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high-quality care for children. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload, ensuring effective supervision.
  • Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Supervising Social Worker who is:

  • Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents and their invaluable skills.
  • Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Possessing a full driving license and access to your own car.

To be considered, you must hold a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent, along with previous experience in children and families social work. A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and publications is essential.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position based in Cheam, South London. The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
