Founded in 1987 by a group of devoted foster parents, ISP is proud to be the UK's first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have built a strong foundation of support for looked-after children, ensuring they receive the specialized care they deserve. Our Integrated Service Programme focuses on a therapeutic approach to fostering, providing a comprehensive circle of support that includes social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists.
Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
- Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is:
- Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents.
- Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.
- Holds a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation in children's services.
- Holds a full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car.
Working Conditions
This is a demanding yet rewarding position that includes both quality assurance and training roles for foster parents. You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
