Role Responsibilities
- Support one pupil or a small group (maximum six).
- Assist the classroom teacher during lessons.
- Report on progress and concerns, liaising with school staff.
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities and trips.
- Assist with lesson planning and preparation.
- Set work and mark where appropriate.
- Build positive relationships and support learning outcomes.
Requirements
- Strong basic education (minimum GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths) and IT skills.
- Experience in a similar role (teaching assistant desirable).
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
- Ability to take responsibility for areas such as food hygiene, forest school, or activities.
- Experience in behaviour management.
- Commitment to professional development.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
