About Us
Founded in 1987 by a group of committed foster parents, ISP is proud to be the UK's first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have built a strong foundation of support for looked-after children, ensuring they receive the specialized care they need. Our Integrated Services Programme surrounds children and foster parents with a network of professionals, including social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists, all working together to create a therapeutic approach to fostering.
Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload, allowing for meaningful supervision.
- Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Supervising Social Worker who is:
- Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents and their invaluable skills.
- Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.
- Holds a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Possesses previous experience in children and families social work.
- Knowledgeable about relevant legislation pertaining to children's services.
- Holds a full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position based in Cheam, South London. The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
