Your New Role…
We’re thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to lead our Technical Services team at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making Of Harry Potter (WBSTL).
As the Technical Services Manager, you’ll oversee all show-related aspects of the Studio Tour, including lighting, sound, video, sets, props, and show control systems. Collaborating closely with original filmmakers and select suppliers, you’ll ensure that our Studio Tour operates at the highest standards, delivering a world-class visitor experience.
In this role, you will:
Your Role Accountabilities…
Manage, train, and develop the Technical Services team to ensure high performance and compliance with service standards.
Drive technical excellence by maintaining show systems and delivering planned preventative maintenance.
Champion health & safety and continuous improvement, proactively resolving technical issues.
Oversee resource planning and rota management for operational efficiency.
Lead cross-functional collaboration for effective planning and delivery of technical installations.
Act as Duty Manager and Duty Technician to manage day-to-day operations.
Manage departmental budget and supplier relationships, ensuring strong cost control.
Qualifications and Experience…
Previous management experience in a Technical Services team within the tourism, leisure, or heritage industry.
Technical expertise in AV installations, including electronics and networked show control systems.
Project management experience with strong communication skills and stakeholder relationship expertise.
Proven ability to lead multi-skilled technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of facilities management and effective problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, organization, and IT skills, with the ability to adapt and collaborate.
Qualifications such as IPAF, PASMA, IOSH, NBOSH are advantageous.
Working Pattern and Duty Management:
This is a full-time role (40 hours a week) with a shift pattern. Due to the nature of our visitor attraction, regular weekend and evening work will be required. Flexibility is key, as you may need to work weekends, bank holidays, and late evenings in rotation with your team.
As an ambassador for our business, you will support the Head of Show Experience and represent them in meetings with third parties when necessary.
