Are you ready to make a difference in road safety? We’re on the lookout for a passionate Road Safety Engineer to join our dynamic Kier Design team across the nation. Location & Hours

Location: Nationwide - remote working available, with occasional office travel required.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00) - some flexibility on hours available!

Your Responsibilities

As a Road Safety Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Road Safety Team, delivering high-quality technical outputs for road safety initiatives. You’ll contribute to highway schemes that range from small improvements to major infrastructure projects, making a real impact on road safety and community wellbeing.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Conducting Road Safety Audits, Walking, Cycling, and Horse-Riding Assessments, and Equality Impact Assessments in line with DMRB standards.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports and technical documents tailored to client specifications.
  • Undertaking site visits during both daytime and nighttime as required.
  • Providing innovative solutions to engineering challenges and technical advice to design teams.
  • Building positive relationships with clients and stakeholders, attending meetings, and reporting on project progress.

  • You’re a member of a professional body (IEng/CEng status or working towards it).
  • You hold a valid CSCS Card and UK driving licence.
  • You enjoy collaborative working and building strong relationships with colleagues and clients.

  • You’re committed to safety, ethical practice, and making a positive impact on communities.
