Salary: Up to £37,500 plus SEN allowance of £2,679
Contract: Full time, term time only
Location: Ruddington, Nottinghamshire

At Easthorpe School, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment for children and young people with diverse needs. Opened in November 2022, our independent specialist provision is expanding to accommodate growing pupil numbers in the Lower School (ages 7-13).

With class sizes capped at 6 pupils, each classroom is supported by a qualified teacher and up to 2 teaching assistants. We cater to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as various diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and more.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the class team to facilitate learning and promote positive behaviors.
  • Monitor student progress and work with staff to meet individual needs.
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities and trips.
  • Build positive relationships to support learning outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Degree-level education.
  • Experience teaching GCSE Science at the secondary level.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH.
  • Strong behavior management skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
