Join Our Team as a Children's Home Registered Manager!

Location: Doncaster

Contract Type: Full-time, permanent

Specific Hours: 39 hours per week

Salary: Up to £64,280 (includes Ofsted and Occupancy bonuses)

We are excited to invite a passionate Children's Home Registered Manager to lead our brand new 4-bed home in Doncaster!

Main Purpose of the Role

As the Registered Manager, you will be the driving force behind the day-to-day management of the home. Your leadership will ensure that we deliver exceptional care, promoting the rights of young people and adhering to our organizational policies and procedures.

Your Responsibilities

Service and Practice Management:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality care in line with relevant legislation and organizational policies.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety guidelines and provide adequate training for staff.
  • Maintain accurate records for both young people and employees, implementing effective monitoring systems.
  • Collect and report management information, including statistical data as required.
  • Innovate new childcare techniques and actively promote the well-being of the organization.
  • Chair various internal and external meetings, preparing thoroughly for each.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities and cover sleep-in shifts as needed.
  • Write concise reports and oversee all written communication to maintain high standards.
  • Make informed decisions regarding admissions and discharges.
  • Lead with vision and innovation, aligning with our organizational ethos.

Human Resource Management:

  • Participate in the recruitment process, ensuring all necessary checks are completed.
  • Oversee staff induction, supervision, and appraisal in line with organizational policy.
  • Support continuous professional development, ensuring all mandatory training is met.
  • Manage effective rotas and handle monthly expenses.
  • Investigate grievances, complaints, and disciplinary matters as per organizational policies.

Management of Resources:

  • Monitor the service budget and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Ensure the maintenance of service premises and equipment meets all requirements.

External Affairs:

  • Promote the organization positively with external agencies and the public.
  • Liaise with commissioners regarding admissions.
  • Lead psychotherapy leadership and management forums.
