Base Location: Ashurst, Southampton

Salary: Up to £39,500 per annum

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Your Role:

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
  • Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments and decision-making.

What We’re Looking For:

We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is:

  • Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents.
  • Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in children and families social work.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation in children's services.
  • Full driving licence with unrestricted access to your own car.

Working Conditions:

This is a demanding yet rewarding position that requires a commitment to maintaining high standards and providing training to foster parents. The successful candidate will undergo an enhanced DBS check, with costs covered by ISP.
