Location: Long Eaton
Hours: 35 hours per week, Permanent
Salary: £45,000 - £47,000 per annum, depending on experience

Your Role and Responsibilities:
As our Principal Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to provide positive and stable family environments. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and deputizing for the Registered Manager as needed
- Supervising team members to ensure effective functioning
- Promoting and supporting foster parents to reach their full potential
- Ensuring compliance with fostering standards
- Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and professionals to prioritize safeguarding and positive outcomes
- Joining an out-of-hours rota to provide managerial support
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced social worker who is passionate about making a difference. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent
- Experience working with children and young people, especially those looked after
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and fostering standards
- A full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work autonomously while being a team player
- Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships
Working Conditions:
This role may require occasional evening and weekend work to meet the needs of the agency. You will also be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by Fosterplus.
