Role: Supervising Social Worker
Basic Salary: Up to £38,616.92 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Office Location: Homebased, supporting foster parents in Manchester and surrounding areas.

Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting our foster parents and ensuring the best outcomes for children in care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Guiding foster parents to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
- Monitoring the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Providing regular supervision and support to foster parents in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
- Collaborating with the child's network to identify needs and resources.
- Ensuring compliance with all key documentation for children and foster parents.
- Participating in meetings and providing reports for commissioning teams.
- Encouraging children's participation in agency development and community resources.
- Being part of an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
- Conducting occasional initial home visits and Form F assessments.
What You Need
We are looking for passionate individuals who meet the following criteria:
- A Social Work qualification.
- Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays.
- Confidence in transporting children in challenging situations.
- A full driving licence.
