Are you ready to take on an exciting challenge? We are looking for a Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Shropshire on a 3-month fixed-term contract based at our Longden Road depot.

£37,796 per annum

Your Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within our highways maintenance team. As a Supervisor, you will oversee site teams across the Shropshire region, ensuring that all works are delivered safely, on budget, and within agreed timescales. You will be instrumental in planning, health and safety management, and supporting your team's development.
Be prepared to step up for winter service and emergency out-of-hours work when needed!
Key Responsibilities
In your role as Supervisor, you will:
- Plan and coordinate programmes of work, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
- Conduct regular safety site inspections and promote best practices across all sites.
- Manage and develop your site team, supporting their career progression and competency development.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including CDM regulations and traffic management requirements.
- Collaborate with supply chain partners to enhance standards and celebrate team successes.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
- Hold a Site Safety Management certificate (SMSTS or SSSTS).
- Have experience in highways maintenance at a supervisory level.
- Possess an NRSWA Supervisor card and a full driving licence.
- Are confident in planning, managing teams, and maintaining safety standards.
- Are comfortable using digital tools and Excel to support your work.
