As a Design Manager, you will be the subject matter expert on your assigned projects, ensuring excellence at every stage of the design process. You may also lend your expertise to tender and pre-construction design management for upcoming projects.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and deliver design information according to agreed programmes and schedules.
  • Ensure design consultants meet their obligations and adhere to project standards.
  • Assess, mitigate, and manage design-related risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Chair design meetings, write reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Produce design programmes, scopes, responsibility matrices, and schedules while ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and sustainable building standards.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Have demonstrable experience in a design role within a main contractor environment.
  • Hold a relevant construction qualification (Degree/HND or equivalent) in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering.
  • Have experience with BIM Level 2 projects, including COBie data.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail and strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Hold a full driving licence.
