What To Expect:

During your 24-month post-doctoral placement, you will:

  • Work on real projects for some of our most beloved brands.
  • Bridge the gap between academic discovery and real-world impact, applying your scientific expertise to develop technologies and products.
  • Be at the forefront of analytical method development, tackling complex consumer challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute advanced laboratory experiments focused on volatile and semi-volatile analysis using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
  • Develop, validate, and implement novel analytical methods, utilizing advanced sample introduction techniques like Headspace Solid-Phase Microextraction (HS-SPME) and Thermal Desorption (TD).
  • Analyze and interpret complex analytical data to provide actionable insights for technology development.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of senior scientists, engineers, and product developers to drive R&D initiatives.
  • Take ownership of critical analytical instrumentation, ensuring routine maintenance and performance optimization.
  • Communicate findings effectively through technical reports and presentations to diverse stakeholders.

What We Look For:

  • Currently enrolled in the final year of a PhD program or recently completed a PhD (within the last 1-2 years) in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) with a preference for 3+ years of hands-on experience.
  • Experience with advanced sample introduction techniques for GC-MS, specifically HS-SPME and/or TD.
  • A strong foundation in analytical chemistry principles and a passion for hands-on laboratory work.
  • Academic excellence with a proven track record of independent problem-solving and method development.
  • Demonstrated technical curiosity, creativity, and strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Evidence of leadership in academic or non-academic activities, internships, or short work experiences is a plus.
