Your Role

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting our foster parents and ensuring high-quality care for the children in our program. This is a full-time position based in Cheam, South London, with a competitive salary of up to £39,500 per annum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to foster parents, managing a realistic caseload that allows for meaningful supervision.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions, monitoring practice and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection.

What We’re Looking For

We seek a qualified and experienced Supervising Social Worker who is:

  • Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents.
  • Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Holds a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Possesses previous experience in children and families social work.
  • Knowledgeable about relevant legislation pertaining to children's services.
  • Holds a full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car.

Working Conditions

This role is demanding yet rewarding, requiring a balance of quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents. You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
