About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic Residential Support Workers to join our team in Southampton. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative team that tailors care packages to meet the unique needs of each child and young adult. You will receive comprehensive training in Developmental Trauma and therapeutic parenting, equipping you to provide the best support possible.
Your Responsibilities
- Work with children and young people, understanding the challenges they face.
- Follow a 3-week rolling rota with 7 × 24-hour shifts, including sleep-ins, ensuring you have 1 weekend off every 3 weeks.
- Promote, safeguard, and protect the welfare of our young people.
- Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships.
- Encourage the development of individual interests and skills.
- Collaborate effectively within a small team, accepting guidance and direction.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children and young people, particularly in care settings.
- A willingness to work towards a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car for travel.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Experience with Emotional Behavioural Disorder or Youth Work is a plus.

- A competitive salary: £33,349.58 for unqualified staff and up to £35,935.36 for qualified staff, including sleep-in shifts.
