Join Our Team as a Senior Quantity Surveyor!

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Kier Design team on a 14-month fixed-term basis. This is your chance to manage all aspects of pre-contract and post-contract commercial activities across Kier Design, all while enjoying the flexibility of remote work!

Location & Hours

Location: Nationwide - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired; just let us know when you speak to us.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a vital role within our commercial team, working independently to achieve cost savings and provide insightful reporting to Senior Management. You’ll also ensure that commercial controls are in place for all work undertaken and take on line management responsibilities.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Overseeing the safe entry into external contracts by following Kier's governance protocols and processes.
  • Managing the procurement of subcontractors across the whole of Kier Design.
  • Reviewing internal and external contract conditions, providing amendments where necessary, and guiding design teams on processes and onerous conditions.
  • Assisting with the production and review of project fee proposals.
  • Guiding and managing end-of-life project cost and revenue, ensuring accurate forecasting and compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations by operational teams.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You have experience in a similar role, either with a main contractor or within a design consultancy.
  • You regularly review and administer contracts, particularly NEC PSC or similar.
  • You have experience in subcontractor procurement and management.
  • You possess a solid understanding of project financial reviews and forecasting, with the ability to report back to senior management.
