About the Role

As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that our highways are safe and well-maintained. Your efforts will positively impact everyone’s daily journeys. Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:

  • Responding promptly to highway defects to ensure public safety and minimal disruption.
  • Installing and removing emergency traffic management signage as needed.
  • Using tablet devices to maintain accurate records of works and communicate updates.
  • Providing excellent customer care through polite and helpful interactions.
  • Supporting winter maintenance and severe weather operations as required.
