Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Structures team on the A417 Missing Link at Air Balloon project in beautiful Gloucestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on a major highways project while contributing to our commercial function.

Location

A417 Missing Link at Air Balloon, Gloucestershire – Enjoy the flexibility of some remote working alongside office travel.

Working Hours

Permanent Full-time – 45 hours per week, with some flexibility available. Just let us know your preferences when we chat!

Salary

Competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £70,000 per year, plus:

  • Private healthcare
  • £5,900 annual car allowance
  • Excellent benefits package

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be at the forefront of managing costs and maximizing value while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Managing commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin through effective contract and subcontract control.
  • Overseeing change control with subcontractors in line with NEC4 procedures.
  • Minimizing the risk of disallowed costs from the client.
  • Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks while implementing Kier's risk management policies.
  • Maximizing cash flow through the control, measurement, and valuation of work, including invoicing and supplier payments.
  • Valuing work executed by subcontractors and certifying interim and final payments.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for someone who has:

  • Experience in a similar role within the highways sector.
  • A relevant qualification, such as a degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Confidence using MS Office, particularly Excel, and other IT systems.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with the flexibility to travel when required.
