Are you ready to make a difference in the world of transportation? We’re on the lookout for a passionate Highways Maintenance Operative to join our dynamic Transportation team in Bridgwater. Bridgwater, Somerset

Contract:

Permanent, Full-time

Salary:

£27,976 to £29,000 (depending on experience) + call out + overtime

Your Responsibilities:

As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you will be an essential part of our Operative team, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of highway services across the Somerset network. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Promoting customer care by collaborating with team members and ensuring courteous interactions with clients and network users.
  • Responding to highway defects within designated timescales and updating relevant parties using tablet devices.
  • Installing and removing emergency traffic management signage during incidents and repairs.
  • Conducting daily defect reports on vehicles, ensuring they are cleaned and maintained in good order.

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Hold a full driving licence (LGV training will be provided once you meet necessary business targets).
  • Can work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicating any faults or issues.
